Place to Wonder

A BIT OF BACKGROUND

Place to Wonder use storytelling to translate mindfulness tools in a magical child centred language. Supporting children and their grownup to co-regulate lowering anxiety and increasing wellbeing.

With the support of speech and language and play therapists our immersive storytelling experiences have been adapted into 2 books. Dream a Little Dream for 4-8 year olds and Sweet Dreams for 2-4 year olds. Empowering parents and carers to use these tools at home in their daily lives. Place to Wonder’s work has been delivered in primary schools and community groups across Belfast and Sure Starts across Northern Ireland. In 2021 Place to Wonder won the Arts & Business NI Mental Health and Wellbeing Award for our response to the children’s mental health crisis.

In 2020, The Arts Council awarded Place to Wonder and Flickerpix animations funding to adapt our Dream a Little Dream children’s relaxation book into an animated trailer to bring to the market to generate investment to create a series that supports children to lower anxiety.

Since then, we have created a 28-episode series called Luna in Dream Land, with guidance from a play therapist who underpins each episode with therapeutic rationale. Currently there are no programmes in mainstream tv dealing with the children’s mental health crisis.

Our Play Therapist says “I am seeing anxiety and trauma responses in children as young as 3, all connected to the pandemic. An animation like this is vital as it offers valuable child centred play therapy tools and strategies to support children who experience anxiety and worries”.

We have secured investment from the following:

·        RTE

·        NI Screen

·        Copa studio based in Brazil.

Sponsorship Details

We are seeking a final investment to support our play therapy and educational research workshops.

Benefits for investor:

- Luna will have a vast audience, reaching millions of households globally. Investors' logos will be featured in the credit.

- Associating with a show that promotes mental health awareness aligns an investor’s brand with a critical societal issue and positive brand perception can lead to customer loyalty and trust.

- The show will also collaborate with schools, mental health organizations, and educational platforms and investors can leverage these partnerships to extend their reach and create meaningful connections.

- We plan to create a full multimedia experience outside the linear TV show with apps, games and short-form content. Investors will have logos displayed on all multimedia content.

- The growing focus on mental health makes this topic timely and relevant and investors who recognize this trend can position themselves ahead of the curve.
