Belfast Exposed is Northern Ireland’s leading photography centre and gallery space which annually welcomes over 35,000 visitors. Our multi-award-winning photography centre is run as a non-profit organisation and is based in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter. Founded in 1983, our mission is to enrich people's lives through photography by providing high-quality services for the public, businesses, schools & universities, health trusts, the arts and the community sector.
Belfast Exposed now houses five public galleries, exhibiting world-class art that responds to contemporary currents in photography and politics, and is home to an archive of international significance serving as a catalyst for dialogue, reflection and storytelling.
For 25 years Belfast Exposed has also been at the forefront of combatting the stigmas around mental health and we undertake hundreds of hours of community engagement every year. Our commitment to raising awareness of the life-changing and lifesaving benefits of therapeutic photography continues year on year and we are regularly commissioned for corporate, team-building or organisation-wide photography sessions.
Art is at the heart of everything we do, shaping our dreams and aspirations; communicating universally from grassroots to boardrooms. Our plans are bold, our strategies are focused, and our values remain true.
