OUTBURST ARTS

A BIT OF BACKGROUND

Belfast's annual award-winning Outburst Queer Arts Festival is 18 years old this year and we're as excited as ever about showcasing and celebrating new queer performance, theatre, music, film, visual art and much more! This year from November 15-23 we'll deliver around 30 events over 9 days in venues throughout Belfast, with enthusiastic audiences of thousands from the city and beyond. Our 2024 festival is one of our most exciting yet, with our landmark Belfast 2024 commission Are you On the Bus?, events with Turner prize nominated visual artist Phil Collins, an international delegation and a programme of new queer cinema and other exclusive events.

Since 2007, Outburst Arts has supported the development of cutting edge queer arts in the city to an international level, ensuring that local Queer artists, audiences and community are at the heart, making Belfast a leading hub for queer arts with a year-round development programme as well as the annual festival. We've worked with artists and activists in 33 countries, centring art as a catalyst for social change and equity.

We’d Love to Hear From You

We love exploring new kinds of relationships with supporters and it would be great to explore possibilities with you. Our partners come in all shapes and sizes (and financial packages).

Our initial invitation is for you to consider a business donation of £1,000 and of course we’d love to chat if there is something else you would like to explore. We also love to hear your ideas that work in harmony with our vision of making space for sharing exciting work, building generous communities and imagining equitable futures for all.

Our audiences are smart, diverse in age, fun, socially aware and into mutual action and support. And like us they love to see ideas with real meaning and impact when it comes to businesses getting involved in queer community.
