The Project
After 7 successful years of delivering of our flagship ‘Winter Circus’ in the heart of Belfast city’s Cathedral Quarter, we are keen to further anchor our place in Northern Ireland’s annual family events calendar.
As Irelands only professional, contemporary touring Big Top circus company, we are on the lookout for other innovative, socially conscious sponsors and partners with a healthy risk appetite, who would like to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the arts sector in NI, especially within the field of circus arts; which was described by both NI and RoI Arts Councils, as the only art form demonstrating growth over recent times.
As Tumble Circus travel island-wide and beyond, we especially welcome engagement from other value-aligned, all-island entities and are particularly interested in exploring green touring, with some exciting developments already in the pipeline.
Since first attracting audiences of 1,700 in 2016, we have more than tripled those numbers, with last year’s shows totalling over 5,400 attendees from across NI, RoI and overseas.
Our audience numbers are split at around 42% coming from Belfast, 49% from elsewhere in NI, and 9% coming from outside NI as demonstrated by post codes logged on our booking platform.
We also know that 53% of audiences surveyed say they come to Cathedral Quarter ONLY to see Winter Circus – so we know we draw a loyal audience.
Tumble Circus invite interested businesses to get in touch to discuss partnership and sponsorship options. They are inviting partners who are interested in a conversation about replicating Winter Circus as another seasonal offering elsewhere in NI, perhaps to tie in with an existing family event or festival, to get in touch for further conversations about ambition, scope and scale of what might be possible.
