Millennium Forum & Store and Go 2023

Context

Store and Go is based in Derry and is a company which provides self-storage units for personal and business use. Their target markets link well with the Millennium Forum’s audiences and stakeholders and include schools, solicitors, students and families who are carrying out home improvements. Millennium Forum is the Northwest’s largest theatre and entertainment venue.

Challenge

Millennium Forum needed help to develop their InterAct Festival 2023 so that it could go out on the road and build deeper connections and more accessibility to quality arts for their local community. Store and Go wanted to play an active part in supporting the local arts scene, while raising their brand awareness.

With this partnership we will be embarking on an exciting new youth project ‘Show and Go’ which, with additional support from A&B NI, will give young people in our communities an opportunity to engage in professional arts facilitation and to perform on the Millennium Forum stage. As a registered charity, we are very grateful for their support and we look forward to building upon this success story.”

Cara Mc Cartney, Development and Creative Engagement Manager. Millennium Forum.

Solution

Working in partnership with Millennium Forum, Store and Go will be the host of Show and Go, pop up multidisciplinary all-inclusive arts workshops concentrating on all things show (dancing, singing, acting, scripting and stage sets). Taking place in 4 community areas in Derry City and including the premises of Store and Go, these workshops will work towards a full multidisciplinary drama showcase which will perform on the Millennium Forum stage in front of up to 1000 people at the 2023 InterAct Festival Showcase.

Store and Go are delighted to be able to support the arts in their home town, while at the same time being able to promote their brand to other companies involved with the Millennium Forum. We are advocates of the arts and delighted to play our part in helping secure the future of the arts in our city. We are looking forward to the 2023 InterAct Youth Arts Festival.
