Tinderbox Theatre Company seeks sponsorship for our October production of Yerma at the Belfast International Arts Festival, hosted at the Lyric Theatre. This modern adaptation, inspired by Federico Garcia Lorca and Patrick J O'Reilly, features 4 weeks of performances with a unique bilingual approach in Irish and English.
Sponsorship will fund production costs, including set design, costumes, lighting, and artist fees, allowing us to deliver an outstanding and innovative theatrical experience. This support will also enable us to continue open-call casting, fostering new talent and diversity in the future.
The production will explore gender roles and societal expectations, highlighting the pressures of fertility problems, looking at gender inequality and the unconscious bias on women in Northern Ireland, opening a dialogue around these issues in the workplace.
Alongside the play, we will conduct community workshops and panel discussions to raise awareness about women's rights, mental health, and social justice, fostering community dialogue and empowerment.
Sponsors will receive brand visibility, co-branding opportunities, recognition in promotional materials, and access to behind-the-scenes events. This partnership offers the chance to align with a project that advances arts, education, and community development, contributing to a more inclusive society.
Supporting Yerma positions sponsors as champions of cultural enrichment, social justice, and gender parity.
